At Martin Wrecker, we care about more than rescuing you when you’re in need. We care about you and your safety. That’s why we’re bringing you a 5- point checklist to use whenever you’re getting ready to travel. Before you head out anywhere, be sure to check the areas below to avoid getting stranded or stuck with high repair bills.

Check your vehicle to make sure your seat belts and brakes work properly. Make sure you have an emergency kit in your vehicle.

Check your vehicle’s fluids, including oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze/coolant, and windshield wiper fluid.

Don’t miss out on checking your vehicle’s headlights, including upper and lower beams, front running lights, turn signals and your vehicle’s rear lights, including brake lights, tail lights, and turn signals.

Check your vehicle’s windshield wiper blades to make sure they are secured, in proper working order, and have full function or replace them before you go.

Check your tires situation extensively by making sure you have an aired up spare tire and a jack; have no nails, screws, or leaks in your tires, and have the appropriate PSI. (Check the inside of your door for vehicle PSI recommendations.)

Traveling is a lot of fun, but it’s not fun to be stranded or out of money because your car needs to be towed or repaired.
